I-STARS Grants Scheme: financial support with a direct impact on tourism businesses

• The actions to be financed will have a direct impact on the operating costs of tourism businesses·

Sustainability and profitability go hand-in-hand.

In Italy, at least 25 tourism SMEs can receive a grant of €5,600 each, 100% funded, de-minimis rule does NOT apply.
The I-STARS Grants Scheme finances:

• Sustainability certifications (EU Ecolabel, EMAS, Travelife, etc.).
• Undertaking Energy, Waste, Food-waste, Water-use audits; custom-made action plans how to cut down energy costs.
• Purchase of tools & solutions to improve sustainability performance.
• Organization Environmental Footprint Assessment – OEF.
• Participation in education & training programs on sustainability issues.
