It’s an international working group focused on supporting the development of islands through the tourist promotion of the existing heritage which involves representative of insular contexts, at EU and world-wide level, experts in the field of maritime and coastal tourism, insular Chambers of Commerce, public authorities and sectorial associations which provide their technical and scientific skills for designing real actions of local development.
The group was officially established on November 2017, in Brussels, at the premises of the European Economic and Social Committee where all the members expressed their commitment to provide technical and scientific support on the basis of their own specific competence and experience, in order to design management plans for insular sustainable development and foster competitiveness of islands enterprises.
