RESEARCH AND MONITORING FOR TOURISM 2017
The Observatory on Tourism in the European Islands- OTIE announces a call for undergraduate and postgraduate students who want to increase their knowledge and practical expertise on cultural events. In particular, OTIE offers a small number of students the opportunity of classroom and a monitoring activities aimed at understanding the economic, cultural, social and environmental impact of cultural events in local areas.

Events and Festivals could represent a strong opportunity for the management of the European islands.
For this puropose, the creation of events as tourism products could shake off islands' association with seasonal tourism.
