What are the I-STARS Grants all about? The I-STARS Grants Scheme is the gateway to financial support and mentorship, designed to help tourism businesses flourish through sustainable practices. Such practices reduce operational costs and increase profitability of businesses. The I-STARS Grants scheme is addressed to tourism businesses of any sector and the grant amount reaches up to €5,600 per business, 100% funded, while de-minimis rule does NOT apply. What it covers:

ISLANDS TOURISM COMMUNITY- RELATIONALITY- NETWORKS XVII WORKSHOP – SISTUR 16 – 18 November 2023 Taormina – Sicily - ITALY In the occasion of the XVII Workshop of the Italian Society of Tourism Science (SISTUR), the Observatory on Tourism in the European Islands - OTIE, is pleased to organize a special session open to international researchers and expert sharing scientific new knowledge on islands sustainable development. Island tourism presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities that warrant close examination. Our special session aims to bring together experts from diverse fields to delve into the following themes.
To submit your contribution, send before October the 15th, 2023, an abstract proposal minimum [300/maximum of 1,000 words] to [email protected]. The 18th of October will be notified the decision from the scientific committee. All submitted papers will follow a rigorous double blind review process and the accepted ones will be published in the International Journal of Islands Research.
