1st First World Conference “Volcanoes, Landscapes and Cultures”
The Scientific Committee of INSULA, under the auspices of UNESCO, the Council of Europe, the UNESCO, Centre “Maria Elisa
Brischetto in Catania and OTIE, is organizing
“1st First World Conference “Volcanoes, Landscapes and Cultures”
The Conference will be held at the “Ciminiere Cultural Center”, on the city seashore, at the feet of Etna, from 11th to 14th
November 2009.
The venue is organized in cooperation with UNESCO, the Council of Europe, and with the technical contribution the Ente Parco
Etna, the European Vulcanology Association, and with the partnership of the Italian government, the Sicilian Regional Government
and the support of several international Organizations.
